On Jan. 20, the men’s JV basketball team won another basketball game 69-75 against the Roseville Tigers in a game .

The Wildcats kept the lead the whole game ending the first quarter with 16 points and the first half with 33. Rebounding and defense had a great part in the lead they kept the whole game. Although they had their strong suits the team did miss a few things that would’ve helped them take a bigger lead in the beginning such as staying together and game speed. They ended the half with 13 rebounds, five steals and one block.

Although they went into halftime with a lead, Jacob Tipper believed the team had room for improvement in the second half.

“We could’ve cut down on the turnovers and played a little more as a unit,” Tipper said.

The Wildcats pulled further up in the third quarter scoring another 22 points, ending the quarter with 55 points. Roseville’s defense didn’t do much to the Wildcat offense and as the game went on, the team began to score more easily. They managed to keep fouls to a minimum.

They ended the game with 69 points, 22 rebounds and 14 steals. Looking back at the team they played, one of the players thought they could’ve done a few things better. Tyler Austin, with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 2 blocks though their speed wasn’t high enough.

” We could’ve pushed the ball more and had a higher tempo throughout the game because they were slower than us,” Austin said.

this win advanced the Wildcats to a 5-0 league record to start the season.
