Playing doubles is different than singles, as you have a partner and you must keep in sync. Sophomores Rachel Zufelt and Sydney Pefferman are a doubles pair. Sydney is ranked 11 on the women’s tennis team.

“I think the chemistry between two partners is really important. You need to talk to each other like when one person moves across to receive a ball you need swap positions,” said Sydney

Sydney’s sister, Haley, is one of the team captains, along with Midori Garman.

“She and her partner didn’t really mesh well together, and didn’t really win a lot of matches,” said Sydney.

Mckinna Macias is also a rising tennis star, ranking number one in singles as a freshman. Sydney Pefferman stated that she is simply an ”amazing” tennis player.
