The Hobbit
After two successful movies and multiple awards for best film, the three part film series “The Hobbit” finally ends with their last movie being “The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies.”
“The Hobbit” takes place years before “Lord of the Rings” and revolves around a hobbit named Bilbo Baggins who journeys with dwarves to reclaim a mountain that was once taken by them. During their quest, they encounter many obstacles and enemies, including a powerful dragon who sleeps in the mountain they tend to reclaim back.
The past two movies have been following their quest, and is filled with a good amount of action. But “The Hobbit: Battle of Five Armies” is filled with way too much action and no plot.
Already in the beginning of the film, we see a village on fire and in turmoil due to the dragon awoken in the second film. The scene is full of suspense as people in the village attempt to escape and the dragon destroys the city. I thought this scene made sense due to the ending of the second film, but later on in the film, the action becomes too much.
Fighting after fighting after fighting is what describes this movie. Constant war and bloodshed throughout the entire movie. If their was a plot it would be fine but the action was literally there every second.
If you are not a fan of action-packed movies, then you should definitely not see this film.
