The Death Penalty should be used as a means of justice

The never-ending debate towards capital punishment, or the death sentence, will always exist. Should the death penalty exist in all 50 states, or should the government find a different way to punish criminals without becoming immoral, heartless human beings? I am pro-punishment, and just want criminals to be punished for what they’ve done. I want to make the world safer, and not have illicit acts plaguing the United States. Capital punishment should be used as a means of justice for capital offenses.

Morality is one of the top arguments on banning capital punishment. People who believe the death sentence is unnecessary claim that it’s immoral and strips human dignity. The death penalty is fair and just, because people who commit crimes are generally always aware of the potential consequences. When someone is given the death sentence, the lethal injection team aren’t treating the criminals like animals. The criminals are even given a last meal of their choice, and then are humanely given the lethal injection.

The person who committed the crime was fully aware of what they were doing, unless they are mentally unstable, which is a different situation altogether. Almost everyone in America knows about the death penalty, so it should come as no surprise that the death penalty is sometimes an option for a criminal who has committed a heinous act, like rape or murder.  The criminal  had complete free will in his actions. The person made the choice to commit the crime, but the victim didn’t choose to die, or be a victim of assault.

All crimes are not the same, and the death penalty should definitely be used in certain cases where the criminal has done something extremely wrong.

I may be the eye-for-an-eye type, but I think it is reasonable to be for the death penalty. Criminals shouldn’t be let off easily; they should be punished according to what they’ve done.
