Rocklin’s newest family activity, Food Truck Mania
Rocklin has begun a new tradition called Food Truck Mania. Now every fourth Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m. at Johnson-Springview Park people can join the community at a family-orientated event focused on a wide range of food truck vendors. All ages are present and it even has fun for the younger civilians of Rocklin with bounce houses. With over 15 different trucks, several food tents and a live country band, this evening is accessible Thursday night activity.
“I got a flyer in the mail about this event and I’m glad I came. We’ve never been to anything like this and my kids and I are having a blast!” Wohma Menyon said.
The food trucks have a wide variety of food types that are guaranteed to satisfy all types of cravings. A benefit of Food Truck Mania is that every single person in a family can have the meal they desire without having to take more than a few steps unto the next food truck. There is an array of food trucks that serve all types of different foods and meal plans. Some of the trucks included Fuzion Eatz (any type of bowl or wrap), BaconMania (everything with bacon on or inside of it), Rudy’s Hideaway (consists of seafood) and Luciano’s Scoop (gelato, beverages and concessions); these are only a few out of the 15 different trucks.
“The food here is great, hands down. There’s a lot of different foods here that I’ve never heard of. I literally ate a macaroni and cheese sandwich … it was great! I’ll definitely be coming back to these things [Food Truck Mania]” Sam Allen said.
Along with a variety of food, the event offers live entertainment to enjoy while exploring and eating. The Madison Hudson Band, a local country band sang throughout the majority of the evening. Along with food trucks there were miscellaneous trucks such as Fashion in Motion, a boutique on wheels. There was also several different tents advertising their companies such as Wave Broadband that consisted of games, prizes and raffles. Food Truck Mania made its appearance and it will be present every fourth Thursday through October.
