This brings us up to the Mid-Season Premiere. The episode opens up with an overlooking view of the destruction that the battle at the prison had wrought. The Prison is lost. The survivors are spread out, unaware of anyone else’s survival. The episode surrounds Michonne’s exit and survival and reveals parts of her past. The episode also surrounds Rick and Carl’s escape. Carl is angry with his father for everything that happened, and hates being treated like a child still. Rick is suffering many wounds and is unable to move quickly and ends up in a coma like state for a day. Carl tries to scavenge for food, trying to prove to himself and his father that he’s not a child anymore.
