‘The Fault in Our Stars’ explores the meaning of love

Hazel Grace Lancaster, a 17- year- old teenager, was diagnosed at the young age of 13 with stage four thyroid cancer with metastasis forming in her lungs. She’s managed to live her life thanks to doses of an experimental drug called Phalanxifor. Hazel’s parents force her to go to a Cancer support group to help her cope. She sits in the “heart of jesus” which is what the leader refers the room to while he talks about his cancer story.
Hazel is just about to give up support group when she meets tall handsome Augustus “Gus” Waters, who lost his right leg to osteosarcoma which is a type of cancer, and is in remission. After the support group ends Augustus and Hazel talk more and end up falling in love which leads to a series of events but you’ll have to read the book to find out.
I personally love this book because it is such a great love story. I also don’t like this book because it makes you want to cry. In my opinion its a really great book because of how its written, the author puts a lot of detail in the book which makes you want to read on. It intrigues readers and reels you in. It definitely reeled me in!
The book is about 330 pages long, so sit back, relax and read the book that will change your life. The movie will come out June 6, 2014, directed by Josh Boone starring Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort.
