Top 5 purchases of 2013

1. Doc Martens

They go with the majority of my outfits, and are very in style at the moment. They are also well worth the money because they are made to be worn for years.

2. One of my favorite albums

This is an obvious one. I normally don’t buy full albums because I rarely enjoy every song on an album, but I was a huge fan of “Wildlife”, the latest collection of songs by  La Dispute. The poetry style lyrics and emotional vocals are certainly not everybody’s cup of tea, but I thought it was a great purchase considering I listen to the album about everyday.

3. Brow Shadows/Shaper

Can we please talk about how important eyebrows are? I mean, if I didn’t fill in my eyebrows… Ew. So my first brow shadow kit from MAC was really important, because it totally transformed my brows. Not to mention the shadow has lasted me about a year now and I’m only halfway through it. It’s a shame it was discontinued, because I’ll really miss it when I run out.

4. Flannel

I bought this flannel shirt from Kohls about six months ago and I still wear it all the time. It didn’t even start to wear until a month ago when it got a little hole in the shoulder (insert sadface). It was only like 20 bucks, so I think it was money well spent.

5. Kitten

I moved out of my house with my mother when she separated from her husband and had to leave behind the cats I had raised from kittens, which was really upsetting because I grew up with them. So for my birthday in November, we went out and bought an orange tabby kitten which I named Tidge. He has a lot of personality, and I think pets are always worth the money.
