1. Looking for Alaska

Is a book that I read in the beginning of the Summer, about an antisocial  teenage boy who leaves his hometown to go to a boarding school in a different state. While he’s there his life completely changes because of the people he meets. His roommate influences him to become more rebellious considering he was sort of a dork, his teachers demanded that he become more active and involved in his work, and the girl of his dreams Alaska Young introduced him to a new side of him that he never knew he had. This book is one of my favorites from John Green because of the way it makes you want to finish the book and how you want to reread it over and over again.

2. Delirium

This book is about a world that sees love as a disease. The whole United States has seen love as a cancer, a virus that makes the many who catch it go crazy. At a certain age you have to be “cured” which means going in and getting a procedure. Even though there are many who accept this way of life there are also many who resent it. Many flee to deserted areas not wanting to get the cure. The main character Lena is a supporter of the cure until she falls in love with a boy who changes her view of the whole system.

3.The Host

When I first read the Host I couldn’t get enough of it. It’s a story of love, passion, action, and sacrifice. It was a novel different than anything I’ve ever read and it’s a great book for laughs and cries. This story was very interesting because it involved a love square filling it with drama and suspense, leaving it to a dramatic ending.

4.The Mark of Athena

After waiting a year for this book to finally come out, it was worth the wait because it was amazing. There is no words to describe how well the author put everything together and made our hearts break at the end.  This book expressed love and action as the author wrote about the amazing journey of Percy Jackson and many of his partners in crime.

5.Divergent

I fell in love with one of the main characters, Tris, who’s headstrong and brave. Her character changes throughout the story and she impacts a lot into the plot and you fall in love with her as you read the story. The book is amazing and I have yet to read the third book of the trilogy.
