Kings game fulfills dreams of a devoted fan
THE BACKSTORY
Living in the Sacramento we are fortunate enough to have a professional basketball team in our city affiliated in the NBA. I have always dreamed of having the opportunity to watch a Sacramento Kings game. I have been a Kings fan for as long as I can remember; however, I was never able to attend one of their games. The closest I have ever been to watching a Kings game is on TV from my living room.
When the opportunity came about for me to be able to witness a Kings game, I gladly took it. My father surprised me and my sister with tickets on the day of the game and let us each bring a friend along. I was more than excited to go to my first Kings game and visit the Sleep Train Arena for the first time ever.
AND THEN
I walked across the long grass way and into the Sleep Train Arena for the first time, fully anticipating the best night of my life. As I walked into this great arena, I could not help but
imagine all of the famous people who have walked the exact same floors I was walking at the time.
I purchased some of the very expensive arena food for instance the 2 tacos I bought for $10 and found my seat on the upper level; I was now ready to witness this game! I could not have gotten any luckier because the Kings happened to have been playing against the Houston Rockets, one of my favorites in the NBA. Also, the Houston Rockets had recently acquired Dwight Howard. From the Kings, I was excited to the see their star players Demarcus Cousins, Isaiah Thomas, Jason Thompson and Jimmer Fredette.
It was a great game and very close for the most part. Both teams were playing hard defense and going strong in the offensive side. However, the Kings pulled through in the end and came up with a win. The game ended at 106-91 and we Kings fans went absolutely crazy!
THE VERDICT
I had the blast at the Kings game and it was probably one of the greatest nights of my life. It was awesome that The Kings won, which only made the night more enjoyable. It was such a great experience and I cannot wait until I can go to another Kings game again.
