Have you ever heard of the phrase “A kid in a candy store”? Well whoever  came up with it had to of been in this candy shop. Lolli and Pops is a small candy shop business that is becoming quite popular. Whether you’re 2 or 92, this place will bring out your inner child.

I’ve been to this newly opened candy shop in the Westfield Galleria in Roseville twice now, and I can’t get enough. With hundreds of customers each day this is surely going to become a popular favorite of shoppers in the mall. I can’t contain my sweet tooth when I walk in, I’m overwhelmed in candy.

When you pass the store, it immediately will catch your eye. The first thing you’ll notice is it’s unique decor. Under the gold Lolli and Pops sign are jars full of colorful gumballs. The floor is tiled and the lights look like white glowing lollipops hung upside down. And when you walk in you’re welcomed by the staff asking if there is anything you want to sample. And they mean anything as long as its not wrapped.

They have four different rooms in which they classify the different candy. Theres the Wonka room, the Chocolate room, the Gumball room, and the Gummies and Sours room.  If you can’t decide on what to get in each room, I suggest asking what their popular candy is and try it out.

In the Wonka room Sixlets are the most popular candy. Sixlets are a chocolate candy coated in a candy shell, very delicious. In the Gumball room rock candy is the most popular. With seven different flavors which include white, strawberry, cherry, watermelon, grape, cotton candy, and blueberry, you can’t go wrong. My personal favorite flavor is watermelon, it has the most flavor in my opinion. Just be careful not to eat the string!

In the chocolate room Sea salt milk chocolate caramel is a customer favorite. If you love chocolate they suggest you try this out. I personally think its delicious but be careful not to eat to much because its very rich. And in the Gummies and Sours room the mango gummy bears are very popular.

They don’t just have the four rooms, they also have an under the counter truffle selection and a huge fridge of different sodas. They also have different categories. In the Japanese category green tea kit kats are usually the first to sell out. In the International candy category anything Cadbury is a hit. When it comes to truffles the sea salt caramel truffle is the favorite hands down. And for cupcakes, red velvet. And lastly in the soda category Harry Potter Butter Beer, just like in the movies. The most popular item in the whole store is anything Sea Salt.

They carry candy from all over the world. Chocolate from Madagascar, sour belts from Spain, and sodas from Japan making it even more unique from the other candy shops.

What makes this store even better is the service. The workers greet you with a smile and make you feel very welcome. And if you have any questions, they have the answers. Not only do they carry the candy of our time, but they carry candy that your parents, grandparents, and great grandparents enjoyed when they were kids.

I highly suggest that everyone at least check this shop out at least once, you wont be disappointed.

“We are purveyors of sweetness – we measure the quality of our sweets not only by how delicious they are, but by the memories they stir loose and the smiles they bring. Because sweetness comes from more than just sugar and if you’re going to indulge in a treat; it better be truly special”. – Lolli and Pops.
