Linkin Park ‘Recharged’ and keeping fans energized
With quality sound, surges of beats and pounds of bass, Linkin Park’s new album “Recharged” was produced entirely by vocalist and band founder Mike Shinoda and Rick Rubin. The album is Linkin Park’s second album of remixes, and it’s the better one. Many different artists and friends to Shinoda have contributed to this album to make it the way it is.
This entire album has such diversity, in the sense that there’s some songs you can put on blast while bouncing to the beat, but in other songs it’s best to put on some headphones and get lost in a bliss which is truly amazing.
A song that truly takes you into serenity is “Castle of Glass,”which was single-handed remixed by Mike Shinoda. There is a soft beat that kicks up from the slow intro, but the song is overall unbelievably calming to the rest of the album vocals that are heard are quiet because the listener is meant to be taken into their own sanctum of grace with the background music. There is no doubt that this song is one of the best.
Another song to fall in love with is bonus track “Burn It Down” remixed by Paul Van Dyk. For those who love vocalist Chester Bennington, his vocals are included in this beat, as well as Shinoda’s rapping. Anyone who’s listened to Linkin Park since the beginning of their time knows that Bennington and Shinoda’s voices compliment each other quite well. The background beat just like most of the songs is great.
Speaking of Bennington, if anyone missed his screaming vocals, this album has it covered with sharp electronic beats in “Lies Greed Misery.”Well, they can make his screaming sound way cooler with computer when it’s backed with a harder beat. Shinado’s beloved rapping is also included in this song, making this tune worth listening to.
Now, as it has come to attention, Linkin Park has changed drastically as a band. While I still love old Linkin Park a lot for it was a collection of rock, rap, and electronic that sounds great, this album is still amazing and has the unique Linkin Park sound, just more focused on electronic. I hate classifying it as Dubstep because the general population may associate Dubstep to sounds produced by Skrillex.
But I can strongly support that Linkin Park’s beats are heavily unique and captivating, and not like anything heard from a remix. Amazon has the album available for $6.99 http://www.amazon.com/Recharged-Linkin-Park/dp/B00F8JZE22/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1385503492&sr=8-1&keywords=recharged+linkin+park and Recharged is available on iTunes. The album has a total running time of 1 hour 16 minutes and 50 seconds, and every second is worth it.
