Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2, according to Infinity Ward, is the most anticipated game of the year. It is the sequel to the best-selling first person action game OF ALL TIME. IGN rates it a 9.5 out of 10. As for the multiplayer, it all comes back with new perks which let you get an advantage against your opponents and new maps, along with those new weapons and add-ons.
I rate this game as a 9.5, it is extremely spectacular and there has not been any game that has been made so far that can beat it. It blows all competition out of the water, including HALO 1, 2 and 3. The multiplayer is so addicting and exciting you really can’t just stop, you have so many new maps and weapons its ridiculous. Not only that, the gameplay is so smooth and silky, when you throw a grenade it actually BLOWS everything up, you see rock and dirt and whatever else fly everywhere. You can jump building to building, climb any ladder, you have stick grenades. There is just so much expansion to it, it’s just amazing.
My only problem with the game is the campaign — not the campaign in all, but just the gunfights. The story is amazing, it continues the campaign where it left off from the first modern warfare when the world is on the brink of collapse. You play as three characters PFC Ramirez, Sgt. Gary “Roach” Sanderson and the returning unsung hero, “Soap” Mactavish, the character you were in the first Modern Warfare. You go through the game with the goal in mind to hunt down and leading terrorist who supplies weapons to anyone who will buy it, the problem is that he is also a terrorist with a lot of nuclear weapons. To make matters worst, he is an associate of Zakhaevwho you killed in the first modern Warfare. You go through the missions trying to destroy him but the General that you are working for, General Shepherd, betrays you because he is trying to make a lie to make him a hero after he kills Makarov. To finish the rest of the story, you have to buy the game and finish the story.
The game is very action-packed, and pretty easy to know what to do. The story is thrilling and has many sharp turns and shocks along with it. But the only problem is the gunfights: the shooting is realistic and the aiming and people dying, your teammates dying. When you shoot someone in the head they fly backwards, but the problem is that when you’re in a big gunfight or any gunfight they are everywhere, you don’t really have a place to hide. You just need to know where the enemies are at or at least look for them because you be getting shot in all directions. When you think it’s clear, you die by getting shot to your left or right or behind you. You just don’t know what is going on. It’s chaotic and beautiful that way, making it very realistic, but it still is challenging. If you play the campaign for your first time then you should play on “veteran,” basically medium difficulty, because that in itself is already hard. But other than that, this game is spectacular, near perfect multiplayer, a great campaign with one problem which I have to say is the only problem in the game and it does not kill the mood or the game, it’s just sometimes you die too much.
The game is worth $59.99, excluding tax. I really believe that it is worth the price, you literally get “more bang for your buck.” You have so many new features and weapons and things that you can do for strategy in multiplayer. For people who haven’t played the first modern warfare, this game is still a fun pick-up for the amazing things that you can do and that it is really well done.
