The newest Fast & Furious movie (Fast 6), featuring Vin Diesel, Dwayne The Rock Johnson, and Paul Walker, once again amazes fans with the hard core racing and a plot that puts people on the edge of their seats.
Fast 6 is filled with the perfect amounts of drama, romance, tragedy, and of course the car racing. Finding Dominic Toretto’s long lost love, and having a new baby in the family all adds to the complex plot that unwinds in the movie.
Fast Five, the previous movie in the series, left off with a huge cliffhanger that ultimately led to the suspense in Fast 6. In Fast Five, the team of felons manages to get away with stealing millions of dollars from a major drug cartel in Rio de Janeiro with the help of international bounty hunter like police (Dwayne the Rock Johnson). The team of felons then promises that they are done with their car-racing lifestyle, and will never do it again. At the end of the movie Letty, Toretto’s supposedly dead girlfriend, has been seen in Germany, racing with another team of ex military felons.
This is where Fast 6 picks up. Luke Hobbs, the international bounty hunter, comes to the team and asks for their help finding and defeating a new team of racing and stealing felons. Only to come face to face with Letty who doesn’t remember the team at all, but is running with a new team of international felons. Toretto instantly wants her back and proves that he would do anything to have her.
With the Torretto team coming back together again, I could feel the anticipation and the excitement of every scene in the movie. Not only did it have more humor than any of the other movies in the Fast franchises, but it had the best action scenes and incorporation of tragedy and love.
Fast and Furious 6 runs for 130 minutes, but with this storyline and cast, it is definitely worth your time and money.
