Rainbow Sandals or Birkenstocks; what do students prefer more? As the summertime rolls in, wearing open-toed shoes have been a common choice to wear, especially throughout campus. While both Birkenstocks and Rainbow Sandals are comfortable options to wear during the summer heat, which one is more worth it and what do students prefer the most? Which one is comfier, cheaper, and which one is better looking?
The most popular styles from Birkenstocks are the “Arizona Soft Footbed” style, which cost $140 dollars and come in a wide variety of colors and materials. On the Birkenstocks website, they have a 4.7 star rating, with 86 reviews. They have styles for both women and men.
Rainbow Sandals’ “Single Layer Premier Leather with Arch Support 1″ Strap” and “Flirty Braidy – Single Layer Premier Leather 1/2″ Narrow Strap with Braid” are the most popular styles, at $59.99 and $60.99. The first style has 4.9 stars with 84 reviews and the second style has 4.5 stars with 494 reviews.
From Alanna Estepa’s perspective, who wears her Rainbow Sandals every day, she said she prefers Rainbow Sandals more.
“I feel like it’s better for its price and cheaper,” Estepa said. “I also think they’re cuter and feel better on my feet.”
Some people also just prefer the way Birkenstocks look and how they feel, like Jacob Mcguire-Day.
“I think they are very comfortable and very stylish,” Mcguire-Day said.
“I prefer Birkenstocks more because flip flops make more noise,” Janvi Suthahar said.
Some people have also claimed that Rainbow Sandals are uncomfortable, don’t have much support or are too loud.
“I prefer Birkenstocks more because flip flops make more noise, ” Suthahar said.
“Rainbows get worn out super fast and I feel like Birkenstocks have better ankle support,” Claire Curtis said.
“I prefer Birkenstocks more because Rainbows give me blisters,” Annie Sarkisian.
Both brands seemed to be equally loved by our students. While they both have their positives and negatives, it comes down to personal preference.
