Do you ever have something on your mind that you feel like sharing with others? A memory, maybe even a recipe? Like to review books/movies/places? How about creating a collection of photos instead of words?
If you said yes to any of those questions then blogging is for you. Now, you may not know how to go about starting a blog, so here’s how:
First, You need to decide what you are interested in or experienced with, because that is what you should write about.
Here are some great examples of blogs that can help you get an idea of what blogging is about; sports, baking/cooking, Book reviews, photography and movie reviews. These are blogs written by people of all ages. One thing they all have in common is that they are all experts on their topic. I picked these blogs because they all inform people about the subject and are eye-catching.
You should pick a general topic or idea and stick with it. Keep people updated on what they want to read about. You can add new stories hourly, daily, weekly, whatever fits your schedule. If your stories are reliable, interesting, and informative, people will spread the word that your blog is good, giving your stories more views, which is the point of a blog. Another way to get more publicity is to advertise by linking your website URL on more popular websites. Also it is great to share with friends on Twitter, Facebook, and other social media websites.
Blogging is one way that people express themselves and get out information. You can make blogs about what is happening in that moment, like news, or about things that people will be interested in for a whole year. People want to read things that inform them, get their attention and make them really feel connected with the story. Many teens have already created blogs that have taken over the cyber world such as http://www.thestylerookie.com/ whose blog was even featured in the New York Times. Anyone can start blogging and have their personal opinion shared with millions of others on the Internet. So check out the links above, create a blog, and start writing!
