A comedy movie worth seeing ‘Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle’
I would highly recommend taking the time to watch “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.” The movie’s runtime is 1 hour and 59 minutes. At first I was not sure about seeing the new one because I wasn’t a fan of the original. But as I started watching it I thought that it was great from beginning to end. This is because humor took a huge part throughout the film which added more interest. Compared to the other new releases so far I would have to say this was my favorite because the cast played their roles very well and it included a good amount of humor and adventure. A part that I found funny was when one of the main characters, Bethany, an extreme girly girl, picked her character to play the game. Based on the name of the character, Shelly, it sounded like a girl but when getting into the game it was actually a overweight cartographer (Jack Black).
I thought that the cast, Jack Black (Bethany), Kevin Hart (Fridge), Dwayne Johnson (Spencer), Karen Gillan (Martha) did really well in executing their roles so that they were as believable as possible. It was interesting to watch the character’s development. Most of the character development helped you know how long they have known eachother and the history with all of them together. This helped with adding depth to what the characters had been through before they reunited in the movie. The movie is about four students who come across a video game called ¨Jumanji.” After choosing their avatar in order to play they become the avatar itself and get transported into the game. While being in the game they are faced with challenges and also meet another player and what they soon realize is that in order to return home safely they need to complete the game.
As far as a rating I would personally give it an 8 out of 10 because I think that everything was done very well but it could have included a little bit more background on some of the characters. Another thing to note about this move is that it is rated PG-13 only because some adult content such as language but it would not be too bad for younger audiences.
The director, Jake Kasdan, did an amazing job with assembling the cast and crew. I would recommend this movie for seeing with family and friends. I definitely believe that you will enjoy this movie just as much as I did.
