The title for sequel to the award-winning movie “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” was released Nov. 15.

“The Crimes of Grindelwald” will be in theaters Nov. 16, 2018 and fans of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them are already in an uproar of excitement. This new addition to the movie series will reintroduce beloved characters such as Newt Scamander and Tina Goldstein, introduce new characters such as the young Albus Dumbledore, and will answer the questions of what occured after the supposed capture of Gellert Grindelwald.

The cast depict Jude Law who will be playing Albus Dumbledore can be seen. With this revelation, anticipation of the insights the audience will gain on the early years of Dumbledore’s life grows. Personally, I am always curious and greedy for more information about the lives of characters, and by seeing Dumbledore I am filled with excitement. Hopefully, questions about his family life and early achievements will be answered. The answering of old questions will bring about the creation of new questions, which is sure to stimulate fans’ interest.

Additionally, I hope they include new visuals for mythical animals in the production. In the previous movie, “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”, new creatures such as the niffler and demiguise were presented. These new creatures created a personality to the story that was unique compared to other movies. Personality radiated from these animals as I was able to develop empathy and a feeling of connection to them. With the addition of new creatures, a persona of the story will continue to develop and encourage me not to just focus on myself, but others too.

In the previous movie, an aspect I enjoyed was the use of metaphors that address prejudices and how our actions affect others through the characters Graves and Credence Barebone. When the character Credence Barebone transformed into an Obscurus, the lesson of how our actions affect others is shown as he turned into that creature as a result of constant verbal abuse from others. Lessons such as these are something I adore when it comes to the “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” series. Hopefully in the next movie, we see moral lessons that will continue to be educate us, probably through the character Grindelwald. The title “The Crimes of Grindelwald” certainly gives hope to this expectation.

“The Crimes of Grindelwald” is an exciting time for the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them fandom as soon questions will be answered alongside the continuation of this lives of favorite characters giving us more inquiries of who these characters we claim to know truly are.
