Julie West shares all there is to know about this week’s lunchtime activities
From lollipops along the sidewalks to ruby red slippers hidden on campus, this Homecoming theme hasn’t been hard to miss, the theme for Homecoming is Wizard of Oz. To bring spirit onto campus, leadership students have worked to implement lunch time activities throughout this Homecoming week. Spirit commissioner Julie West shares all there is to know
Q: What are the Homecoming lunch time activities?
A: On Tuesday we watched “Wizard of Oz” in the cafeteria, Wednesday is BYO apple so if you bring an apple, we will cut it for you and turn it into a delicious caramel apple. On Thursday we will be playing a dating game in the amphitheater to see which couples know each other best, and Friday will be Fight Song Friday with a game of tug-of-war between the varsity football team and JV.
Q: How are the people chosen to participate in the LTA’s?
A: We have chosen couples who have been together for a while from each class to participate, and then Friday is just the varsity football team and JV football team.
Q: What reward do the participants get?
A: If you participate you will get the chance to earn points for your class.
Q: Why should people come and participate?
A: Because it’s a super fun way to participate in Homecoming week, and you get the chance to represent your class.
Q: How did you and the others come up the ideas?
A: We were just trying to think of fun ways to add excitement to campus during this fun week. We really wanted games and activities that can interest everyone.
